Whoop: The Basics

In most cases, scoring 18 and above indicates a near-maximal workout while a score of 18-14 indicates a strenuous workout. 14-10 is a moderate workout while anything below 10 is considered a light or minimal workout.


  • Tracks Your Recovery: Another use of Whoop is to track your recovery. So, here are a few steps on how to charge the Whoop battery pack.

  1. Step One: So, the first thing you need to do before charging your Whoop battery pack is to confirm its status. To do that, you need to double-tap the top of the strap to observe the LEDs. Here’s an LED status scale you can consider.
  • 3 solid White LEDs = Full Charge
  • 2 White solid + 1 White blinking LED = 80-99%
  • 2 solid White LEDs = 60-79%
  • 1 solid White LED + 1 White blinking = 40-59%
  • 1 solid White LED: 20-39%
  • 1 White LED blinking = 10-19%
  • 1 solid Red LED = 5-9%
  • 1 blinking Red LED = 5%

Alternatively, you can check the battery status by opening the Overview screen in your Whoop mobile app using your Smartphone.

  1. Step Two: Once you’re sure about the battery status, the next step is to charge the battery pack. To do that, simply plug your battery pack into the available micro USB and allow it to charge for around 90-120 minutes. When the battery pack is fully charged, an LED light will switch from Red to Green.
  • Step Three: Once the battery pack is fully charged, finalize the process by plugging your fully charged battery pack back to the Whoop strap. When sliding the fully charged battery pack back to the strap, make sure the Whoop logos on the battery and the strap are aligned.
